She was a key figure in the fight for women's suffrage in Spain and played a crucial role in the inclusion of women's right to vote in the 1931 Spanish Constitution.

Campoamor was a member of the Radical Socialist Republican Party and served as a member of the Spanish Parliament from 1931 to 1933. Despite facing opposition and criticism from her male colleagues, she persevered in her fight for women's rights and equality.

After the Spanish Civil War, Campoamor went into exile in Switzerland before returning to Spain in 1952. She continued to advocate for women's rights until her death in 1972.

Clara Campoamor's contributions to the women's rights movement in Spain have been widely recognized, and she is considered a pioneer in the fight for gender equality in the country.
